DOLLMAGEDDON 2012 IS ALREADY HERE GUYS.

FRIENDLY REMINDER

-Starting August 20th (which, yes, means as soon as it hits 12AMPST) through September 9th, the Disney Villains Designer Collection begins selling all six of the dolls in a set, ONLINE, for pre-order. This will be the only opportunity to guarantee a purchase of all six dolls. Meaning, if you want four out of six of the dolls, just get all six and trade/sell/give away the ones you don’t want. You will save yourself a lot of drama, trust me.

-This is a limited set they’re selling, ~~a number I haven’t been able to find, but it could be anywhere from 1000 sets to 100 sets~~ ryn1690 has informed me tht number is 700. They will NOT be sold in stores on Monday. This is an online-exclusive opportunity. I’m hoping it’s not as bad as it was with the princesses, but the biggest tip I can give you is LOG IN TO EVERYTHING AHEAD OF TIME. Make sure you’re logged in to your account at Disneystore.com, and have all your credit card/paypal/shipping information already stored (especially if you’re sending it to someone else). You want to be to able to click buttons throughout this process and not enter in anything except maybe a password. Every second counts, and that’s if they’re not having server issues this time around.
EDIT: Gift cards! They are allowed to be used, but you might run in to problems when it asks ‘enter numbers only’. I heard of this problem last year, so maybe they’ve fixed it now, but it ispossible for your card to be applied retroactively and that you can still secure a doll if things get crazy. Just call to make sure your order went through.

-I’m not sure if there’s going to be some type of discount for getting all six in a set, but if they’re sold at the retail price of one doll times six, you’re looking at $480 + shipping/handling.

-Your set will arrive on or around October 15th, which will be after each one is sold individually in September.

In my opinion, if you REALLY want to avoid the madness of Dollmageddon. This may be the way, but also the most expensive way.

Anyways, it looks like we’re heading into Dollmageddon 2012 pretty soon. Might mean the non-doll merchandise might be hitting the Disney Store in the upcoming week or so. So keep an eye put for them.

New information on Disney Designer Villain Dolls and I’m worrying.

Limited to just 13,000 of each doll worldwide, the Disney Villains Designer Collection will be released one per week, in stores on Monday beginning September 10 and online on Tuesdays beginning September 11.

Because we anticipate a devilishly high demand for the Disney Villains Designer Collection dolls, each participating Disney Store location will select Guests at random who will be able to purchase a doll.

Since the second wave of dollmageddon ——-oops …..I mean the second wave of Disney Designer Dolls is coming out next month with the Disney Villains. I would like to share you the reason why I’m not going to participate this year.

I just thought I’ll share with you this video I found on youtube recently of the experience of buying the Disney Designer Princess Dolls last year or what I like to called (along with many other Disney Princess fans) DOLLMAGEDDON 2011.

Showing how much of a pain in the butt, it was to get one of these Designer dolls. This video sums up my own experience of last year.
