Brave/Tangled mix up. Merida in Rapunzel’s design and vise versa. Just some crazy idea I doodle awhile back. It’s sort of a tribute to http://skyneverthelimit.tumblr.com/. I really love her tangled/rapunzel doodles.
Looking at her work,I wondered how different it would’ve been if Brave and Tangled switched designs 8D
SO YEAH. Basically, Merida as Rapunzel and Rapunzel as Merida

More information on the Fantasy Faire; Rapunzel’s tower and Brave’s Merida will be part of the Fantasy Faire
Today at the D23 Expo, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs and Disneyland Resort PresidentGeorge Kalogridis announced an exciting transformation poised to take place at Disneyland park.
The boundaries of Fantasyland are expanding with a brand new experience called Fantasy Faire. For this project, Carnations Plaza Gardens Stage is being reimagined into an enchanting village square that will immerse guests in the stories of their favorite princesses in exciting new ways.
Guests will travel through a village square surrounded by fairytale cottages and pavilions to the heart of the square – Tangled Tower, inspired by the film. The village square will come alive with activities and entertainment, including a Royal Ribbon Parade where guests can dance and interact with Belle or Rapunzel. Guests can visit the their favorite Disney royalty from such films as “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Cinderella,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Tangled” and the upcoming Disney•Pixar film, “Brave.”
The Fantasy Faire Stage will be a new entertainment venue where the stories of Disney’s fairy tale heroes and heroines will be brought to life, letting guests become part of the story as well.
And at night, the Fantasy Faire Stage will come alive with the classic music and dance offerings that Disneyland park guests have loved for years
“Brave” teaser of low quality (but its something until Disney released high res version online or until Disney takes it down)
I get the funny feeling that ‘bear’ isn’t a bear after all, maybe it was a human before?
Since I get a positive responses whenever I post something about Pixar “Brave” on here. I decided to do it again. This time it’s for teaser trailer for “Brave”, but it’s in low quality cause Disney still haven’t released the trailer online. The only way to see the trailer is if you watch 3D showings of “Cars 2”.
But even if it’s not the high res version it’s still amazing, I got goosebumps when I watch it. My excited for this movie went up couple notches.
High Res Of The New “Brave” Poster
I know this is a Tangled Tumblr, but I have before talk about “Brave” the newest fairy tale that’s coming out from Disney and Pixar. And a new poster was just released and teaser trailer is going to come out most likely tomorrow or Friday. If you’re going to watch ‘Cars 2’ the teaser trailer will be alongside with it.
If you don’t know I run a ‘Brave’ Tumblr as well. Here’s a link to it http://hellyeahpixarbrave.tumblr.com/
It’s an exciting time for ‘Brave’ now, since we’re going to find out more about the movie soon.
The concept art you are seeing above isn’t from Tangled, but it’s from Disney upcoming Fairy Tale movie. Actually it’s from PIXAR! (But I consider it Disney since they own Pixar).
Previously, it was called “The Bear And The Bow”, but after PATF didn’t do so well in the box offices they changed the names of “Rapunzel” to “Tangled” and “The Bear And The Bow” to “Brave”.
Here Disney Press release for it: (This was before the name change)
A rugged and mythic Scotland is the setting for Pixar’s action-adventure “The Bear and the Bow.” The impetuous, tangle-haired Merida, though a daughter of royalty, would prefer to make her mark as a great archer. A clash of wills with her mother compels Merida to make a reckless choice, which unleashes unintended peril on her father’s kingdom and her mother’s life. Merida struggles with the unpredictable forces of nature, magic and a dark, ancient curse to set things right. Director Brenda Chapman (“The Prince of Egypt,” “The Lion King”) and the storytelling wizards of Pixar conjure humor, fantasy and excitement in this rich Highland tale.
Sadly, couple of weeks ago Brenda Chapman left the project and the new director is Mark Andrews.
Disney/Pixar’s Brave is going to be release on June 15, 2012.
It’s also rumor that Princess Merida might be the next CGI princess for Disney after Rapunzel. Still it’s unsure if she be added to the Disney Princess line, since she’s Pixar.
Just wanted to share you guys the next Disney film I’m excited for after Tangled.
